Tips and Tricks on avoiding Stage Fright
1. Look away
Literally, look away from the audience. If you are performing in front of a big audience, look at the back of the stage where the wall, or somewhere preferably empty. Just try not to think about the fact that there are others in the room. Just pretend you're speaking to yourself.
Just tell yourself that there is nobody out there that is more perfect for the job than you are. Just remind yourself that you're doing this for YOU, and not for THEM. Just stay yourself, and talk from your soul.
It's the most simple, yet hardest thing to accomplish. Just relaxing beforehand the show, concert, performance or whatnot will do wonders on your anxiety.
- Close your eyes and imagine yourself in a tranquil area.
- Listen to calming music that will relax the nerves
- I'm not recommending smoking, however, if you do smoke, it may relax you.
